Ronda

The town of Ronda is situated atop a hill, like many towns that date back to a time when military security was related to foot soldiers.

Our first view of Ronda arriving from the south

Looking back the way we'd come

The town square; if it were warm and dry this would be an oasis of shade from orange trees and conifers with the delicate sound of burbling water from the central fountain.

The "New Bridge" (18th C). Our children reminded us of what excellent climbing opportunities existed here by trying some of them out - to our horror!

120 m!

The chasm that divides the old city from the new.
