Arcos de la Frontera

Arcos de la Frontera is a delightful town located on a ridge about 45 min. north of Cadiz. There is always lots going on - though it was windy and cold enough at the beginning that our pictures seem to be free of people.

Walking past a monument to last year's Semana Santa celebration.

This street probably gets less car traffic.

A view of the main car street and the pedestrian streets that dominate the area.

Facade

A view from the apartment we rented for the remaining two weeks.

More scooter ramps.

Whites-in-the-wind

Parallel parking.

Fixer-upper

At the juncture of the two main streets - both one way (except when you want to go up them).

A view down the hill from our apartment.

The crux move -or- Rush hour

Road paving at the last gate out of the town.

Looking back at Arcos on the ridge.

Another one-way street that isn't if you don't want it to be. This is the second busiest street in the old town.
